What's your substrate color? Darker substrates can make Discus feel more secure. If you've got bright sand, that might be part of the issue.

Mine were hiding till I switched to a finer substrate. They dig rooting around in it. Also, try feeding at the same spot daily. They'll associate that area with safety.

Any sudden noises or vibrations near the tank? Discus are sensitive to that stuff. My guy's hiding stopped after I moved the tank away from the TV.

Could just be their personality. Some Discus are shy no matter what. As long as they're eating and healthy, maybe they're just introverts.

How's the tank positioned? If it's in a high-traffic area, they might feel exposed. Try moving it to a quieter spot.
