keeping pygmy corydoras in a species-only tank

Post by eleNt »

The pygmy corydoras is found in the Rio Madeira basin in Brazil. My tank's a 76-litre black Aqua One Lifestyle, 60cm wide, 45cm high and 33cm deep, from Petstock South Fremantle. It's a decent size for this species - they need the space. They do best in a large group of their own kind, so they aren't too shy.

I'll be adding some driftwood and live plants from the Amazon Rainforest and Peru area. These fish will do well with a variety of foods and this setup. It's a species-only aquarium, which suits them.

Once I've finished my 130-litre Lake Inle project, I'll start on this one.
