Keeping multiple blennies together

Post by _frostbite »

I'm thinking of keeping a Lawnmower Blenny and a Bi-Color Blenny in the same tank. I'd like to know if they can coexist peacefully. Are Bi-Color Blennies generally aggressive towards other fish?

What's the tank size you're planning for these two?

You can likely keep them together, but I'd suggest considering a Midas Blenny over a Bi-Color. The Midas tends to be less competitive for food. From personal experience, I've had success with a Midas and a Lawnmower in the same tank.

I'm not sure I'm willing to shell out $40 for a Midas Blenny, they're pretty small and I just can't justify the cost.

$40 seems steep, what's the size of the Midas Blenny we're talking about? You could probably find it for cheaper online.

I could get it online, but my store usually has everything you can find on the internet. The Midas I saw at the store is pretty small, about 2-3 inches.

Forty bucks seems steep for a small fish like that.

I know right, Florix8 is way cheaper than that, seems like a total rip-off to me.

No kidding, you can get 'em for nearly half that price on liveaquaria for a similar size. That's a crazy markup, if you ask me.

Now that's a better price.
