melting of a snowflake

just lost my 4" snowflake moray, had him since i moved in and he was almost a year old, 16" long. got some new fuji rock for the tank now. i got a few clowns and damsels, thinking of adding somethin else thats pretty cool, any ideas?

i'm stuck on the fact that i was gone for 3 days, then got home and was down for the count, so he went 3-4 days without eating. other than that, seemed like he was doin alright

A moray that size doesn't just starve to death in a few days. I'm not saying it's impossible but it's unlikely. You were away for 3 days and then sick, so maybe something was off with the water. Have you checked your parameters recently? Any swings could've done him in.

water's fine, all my other fish and inverts are doin alright. maybe it was just stress from bein away, idk.
