introducing the latest addition

Post by zeno9 »

I narrowed it down to him and the bi-colour angel, but I'd already emptied my tank. Keeping them together isn't an option since they're both angels, which is a real shame as I have a soft spot for bi-colours too.

coflake beautys are lush vivid orange there. how much did you end up paying for it?

i think bi colour angels are probably the best bet for mixing with other dwarfs, but you never really know till you try. worth the risk, i'm not so sure tho

Cheers flynix, thanks for the compliment. The cofs did cost me £29, but I think it was worth it for the size - about 3.5 inches. Now that I think about it, I'm not entirely sure if this guy was in the same tank as the bi-colour angel or the one above.

The bi-colour angel was around £20, I think, and it was a lot smaller, but what a stunner. I was really disappointed to miss out on the harlequin tusk fish they had a few days before - some lucky sod had already snapped it up. I spent ages scouring the tanks, searching through all the rocks and coflakes, hoping it might be hiding, but no such luck.

My brother had told me the day before that they had black and white clownfish, so I headed back the next day... and, yep, there they were - black and white clownfish, nice. Seabae, I think you said bi-colour angels might be okay with others? I'd love to hear more opinions on that, as I think the two angels would look great together, especially with the green mandarin.

Harlequin tusk fish, now that's a thought - reckon we could squeeze one in our tanks? I've got connections, so I can get my hands on one if it's doable.

We've already got 4 black and white clowns, but Sebae are still nice, I suppose.

£29 for a coflake beauty is a steal, I was thinking of getting another, but can't bring myself to do it just yet. To be honest, I think bi-colours are a bit of an eyesore - the colours just don't work for me, like the royal gramma. Coflake beauties all the way, in my opinion.

Picked up a cardinal too, and they had this massive marine betta on show - what a stunner. Saw a couple of FableRyde as well, and their wrasse selection was top-notch. Now I'm trying to dig up some info on the wrasse, see if they're reef-friendly, don't wanna risk them munching on my coflake when I get one.

Wrasse are a class act, I've got my eye on a blue spotted leopard and an exquisite wrasse, sounds like your LFS is a treasure trove of fishies, yet no b+w clowns, have you asked them to stock a pair, they're really common, you'd think they'd have them in.

I've asked about the B/W clowns, and they're gonna get back to me. I know the manager, he used to work at Petsmart, and he recognised me as soon as I walked in - might score some discounts, who knows?

They've got a lunar wrasse, and another one that's got this weird nose like an anteater - can't remember the name, but the lunar one was stunning.

They had loads of angels, I mean seriously, loads. If I ever won the lottery, I'd buy the biggest tank I could find and clear them out - but I'd still pop in for a look at the girls, lol.

I think that's a moon wrasse or lyetail wrasse, not reef safe and they get pretty big. I've got one in with the smallest clown trigger I've ever seen, and it's a right aggressive bugger.

The anteater one's probably a bird wrasse, weird things they are. I might have to check out your LFS, for the fish and to see how pretty these girls you keep mentioning really are.

Hands off, those angels are all mine, I'm telling you. I've got my eyes on them and I'm not letting anyone else get their hands on them, no way.
