Optimizing coral nutrition

Post by RiverRush_9 »

I've started feeding my LPS and I'm using Fauna Marin LPS food along with some Mysis. The issue I'm running into is that my fish are absolutely loving the Fauna Marin, and they're stealing it from my corals. Same thing with the Mysis. Does anyone have any advice on how to keep my fish from hijacking the food meant for my corals?

Try feeding at night when the fish are less active, they'll be less likely to steal the food from your corals.

I've found it works for me to feed my corals during the day when I'm feeding my fish, they're distracted by the flakes so I can target feed the corals. That being said, I do like the idea of feeding at night, but I'm not convinced my fish would pass up a meal just because the lights are out - they're always on the lookout for food.

I'm with you on the night feedings, it's really frustrating to see my tangs swooping in and stealing food from my LPS.
