Let us know how it goes. Also, if you're using a skimmer, maybe cut it off for an hour after feeding. Gives the food more time to settle.

What's your magnesium level? Low mag can make them retract. I keep mine at 1350 ppm. Also, how often are you doing water changes? Too frequent can stress them out. I do 10% biweekly.
Good point on the mag. I forgot to mention that. I keep mine at 1400 ppm, and it's been thriving.

Yeah, and don't stress if it takes a bit. These guys can be drama queens. Mine took like three weeks to fully extend again after I messed with the flow.
