The little chilli rasboras have been in the divided tank for about a week now. They've mostly made their way into the right end section and are thriving - their colours have really come back. However, a couple of them seem to be drawn to the left end section, where Triton the Betta resides. I still need to get to the LFS to pick up some filter media bags to block the gaps, but it's been a chaotic week.
I was bracing myself for the worst, expecting to find a dead rasbora or witness an attack, but Triton's been surprisingly calm around them. He's curious, but not aggressive, and the rasbora that keeps venturing into his space seems completely at ease. In fact, one of them was so relaxed that while I was feeding them, it practically snatched a piece of food right out of Triton's mouth - it was that close.
Although I'm still planning to block the gaps to avoid any potential risks, it's been interesting to observe their unusual friendship.
