Growing hoya in aquariums: experiences and advice
We've got a Hoya in our living room and it's going wild - the vines just keep growing and growing, and then you get these gorgeous star-shaped blossoms that smell amazing at night, especially since they're pollinated by moths. I love how easy it is to make cuttings, just stick a section of the vine in a glass of water and it'll root in no time. We've got some cuttings going in the kitchen window right now, Mrs is on my case to find a home for them, so I'm thinking of putting them in a tank.

We've also got a "normal" one with variegated colors like red and white, and some with curly leaves too

Guess nobody's familiar with using these in aquariums, huh. This one's a rooted cutting from a 100-year-old plant that belonged to my wife's grandmother. Super easy to propagate - just snip a piece and stick it in some water. It'll take root in a couple weeks, no fuss. I've got this one in the filter chamber of my Aquaclear 70. Been in there a couple weeks now and I can already see some new growth.
