Identification help needed
Identification help needed
My dad's been getting into saltwater tanks for about a year now and he's taking his time, which is good. He lives pretty far from me, so I can't help him out in person. He just got a new shipment and there's this one fish that wasn't supposed to be in there - looks like some kind of predator, maybe a small parrot or a larger wrasse. I'd really appreciate some help figuring out what it is, 'cause I'm not exactly an expert and I don't want my dad stuck with a fish that's gonna cause problems, especially since he's just starting out with clownfish.
Re: Identification help needed
I'd love to see a pic of the fish, that'd help narrow it down - think it'd be a huge help for figuring out what it is and what to do next.
Re: Identification help needed
Hi and welcome to the forum, I'm glad you're here. Unfortunately, without a picture of the fish, we're facing an uphill battle in terms of identification. The reality is, there are literally thousands of species of marine fish kept in aquariums, and some of those species just shouldn't be kept in captivity.
