Growing and caring for limnophila sessiliflora
Growing and caring for limnophila sessiliflora
I've really taken a liking to this plant, adding six more bunches to the tank already. They're a great choice for a densely stocked aquarium like mine, as they thrive on the nutrients provided by fish food and waste in the water column, and the substrate via their roots. With proper care, they grow rapidly, reaching the surface and swaying in the current.

This plant is indeed a great choice. I've found it to be quite fast-growing, which makes it a useful ally in the battle against algae, especially during the initial stages of setting up an aquarium. It's a heavy nutrient consumer, so I'm guessing you must be adding some fertilizers to support its growth.
Personally, I'm quite fond of Ceratophyllum submersum and Najas guadalupensis for similar reasons - they're both fast-growing and provide a great environment for bloopieble nesting fishes and fry.
