Travels with Discus

Post by wilde »

Kudos to ACA for providing some really useful swag at their annual convention. I was particularly impressed with the sturdy bag they gave out, which held all the other goodies.

I also picked up some interesting info from ACA - apparently, the TSA now allows you to carry fish on a plane. As long as they're in a clear plastic container with 3.4 oz of water, you're good to go. Not a lot of water for discus, unless you're transporting fry, but other attendees mentioned that the limit isn't strictly enforced. Just a heads up, though - airlines still don't allow checking fish in luggage. Thanks for the tip, ACA.

I take extra precautions with the little ones - don't let the fry go through the X-Ray machine.

ACA really hit the mark with their swag this time. I mean, who doesn't love useful stuff? Normally, you end up with a bunch of junk - some of it's okay, but most of it's just destined for the trash. Not this time, though. Thanks for sharing the info on fish transport, too - that's really good to know. Kudos to ACA, indeed.

I'm glad you got something useful from the convention. Usually, swag is just a bunch of useless items that end up in the trash.
