Looking for some easy plants that can survive my neglect. My tank's got low light, no CO2, and I forget water changes sometimes. What's the toughest stuff out there?

Anubias and Java Fern are good. They don't need much light or care. Just tie them to rocks or driftwood.

Yep, Anubias is a champ. I've got mine in a shady corner of my 20-gallon, no ferts, and it's still kickin'. Also, try Hornwort, it's basically unkillable.

Thanks! How often do you fertilize yours, or do you skip it altogether?

I skip ferts most of the time. My Anubias gets by on fish waste and whatever's in the tap water. If you wanna push growth, a lil' liquid fert once a month won't hurt.

I don't fertilize mine either. They grow slow but steady. Just make sure your water isn't too soft, they like some minerals.

True that. My tap's pretty hard, so they're chillin'. If your water's soft, maybe toss in a piece of cuttlebone.
