A new home for auritus

Post by zenrow »

Few changes on my 4' 240ltr tank. Had to sort out the Auritus, they were chasing the Cyps away and getting territorial on the rocks. Moved 10 Cyps to a new home with the Multies, had to remove all the rocks to catch 'em. Tank looked pretty bare afterwards.

Auritus love chomping on Mysis, by the way.

Had some leftover plastic pipe from the Tropheus tank project, where I made some small caves for them. They seem to really enjoy 'em.

Cut the pipe into 12" lengths, sanded off the rough edges, gave 'em a good wash and rinse. Covered the pipes with rocks and sand - dwarf comps usually hang out on the left, Auritus on the right. Be interesting to see how things settle.

Not the best pics, but I'll post a vid in a few days when the tank's all clear and the Auritus have dug up the sand again.

Cheers for looking, Sean
