sharing my plant tank struggles
My Anubias aren't growing like they should, and I'm kinda stumped. Got 'em in a 20-gallon with Fluval Stratum, CO2 at 2 bubbles per second, and a Nicrew light running 8 hours. Water params are good, 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, 10 nitrate. What am I missing?

Anubias are slow growers, but if they're not thriving, check your light intensity. Nicrew might not be enough if it's the basic model. Also, how's your flow? They don't like strong currents.

Anubias growth is primarily tied to light and nutrient availability. Your CO2 is adequate, but Stratum alone may lack micronutrients. Consider root tabs or liquid ferts. Monitor phosphate levels, as they're often overlooked.

I had the same issue till I bumped my light to 10 hours and added Seachem Flourish. Now they're popping new leaves every week. Maybe give that a shot?

Yep, Flourish made a difference for me too. Also, check if your Anubias rhizomes are buried. They rot if planted too deep.

Thanks, everyone. Gonna try Flourish and adjust the light. Rhizomes are above the substrate, so that's not the issue. Appreciate the help!

Keep us posted! Anubias can be finicky, but once they settle in, they're bulletproof. Just don't mess with 'em too much.

Ensure your light spectrum is suitable for plant growth. Full-spectrum LEDs with a Kelvin rating between 5000K and 7000K are ideal. Inadequate spectrum can stunt growth even with sufficient intensity.

Another thing, how old are your bulbs? LEDs degrade over time. If they're past 18 months, might be time for an upgrade.

Spot on. I switched to a Finnex Planted+ and saw a huge improvement. Spectrum matters more than I thought.
