Top aquarium heaters
I'm setting up a new 55-gallon tank and need a reliable heater. What's everyone using these days? I've heard mixed things about some brands, so I'm kinda lost.

Yo, I've been rocking the Eheim Jager for years. It's solid, no weird vibe, and keeps my tank at 78°F like a champ. Only downside is it's a bit bulky, but worth it for the reliability.

I feel you on the confusion. I switched to the Fluval E series after my old heater crapped out. It's got a digital display, which is nice, and it's been steady for my 40-gallon.

The Aqueon Pro is another good option. It's got a shatterproof design, which is a plus if you've got curious fish or kids. Mine's been running for two years with no issues.

I've had bad luck with cheaper heaters, so I splurged on a Cobalt Neo-Therm. It's pricey, but the accuracy is top-notch. Plus, it's super slim, so it doesn't stick out like a sore thumb.

Anyone tried the Hygger titanium heaters? I've seen mixed reviews, but the price is tempting.

Thanks for the suggestions, everyone. I'll check out the Eheim and Fluval options. The digital display on the Fluval sounds handy.

I'd also recommend getting a backup heater if you can. It's saved my butt a couple times when the main one decided to take a break.

Second the backup idea. I keep a cheap one as a spare, just in case. Better safe than sorry, especially in winter.
