discussing the versatility of eggs

My female parrot cichlid is literally driving me crazy with all these eggs. Every month, it's the same thing - she gets super aggressive and I'm like, walking on eggshells around the tank. I've got a blue diamond discus and a pleco in there with her, but she only gets all worked up when I come near. She's actually pretty chill with my discus, just kinda ignores him, but the second my hand goes in, she's ready to pounce. I'm in a 55-gallon tank, so I thought that'd be enough space, but I guess not. Is there anything I can do to stop her from laying all these eggs? I don't think she's paired up with my discus, he just kinda does his own thing.

You might just get a surprise, like a Parrocus or Discot, who knows lol
