Got a nice haul, how many did you end up grabbing?

Just one, to be honest. The prices here are pretty steep, so I had to be selective.

This side of the globe, they're pricey, mate. Keeping them in shoals is a must, then you see the colours really pop when the males put on a show.

As fluxon4 mentioned, keeping them in shoals is the best way to really see their colours shine, especially when the males display.

I'm aware it's generally recommended, but my little guy seems to be thriving on his own. He's a male and his color remains consistent throughout the day, except when he feels threatened, like during tank cleaning. I did plan on getting more of his kind, but unfortunately, he was the only healthy one in the store - the rest were, quite frankly, a health risk waiting to happen.

Pity you couldn't get more, mate - the colours are great on his own but when they're displaying to other males or females, that's when you see the real magic. Spent an hour last night watching one of my males doing his thing with one of the ladies, was a real treat.
