ok so my little sweetheart's got ich spots now, poor thing. I'm gonna grab some reef and invert-safe treatment tomorrow, but it's 10:30pm atm. She started showing symptoms around 7pm and it's been getting more noticeable by the hour.
I've turned off the tank lights, heard that slows down the reaction. Now I've come across this thing about covering food in garlic, apparently it can help them feel better and even fix the problem. My little one's still munching on the algae off the walls, is that a good sign?
So what's the deal with the garlic, is it minced or something? We don't have garlic juice here, so I'm not sure what to use - any ideas?
How long before the ich gets really bad on my beauty? Will she be okay till tomorrow morning when I get the meds?
I've got melafix and pimafix lying around, they worked on my f/w tank before, but I'm hesitant to use them since they're a few months old and I've heard some bad reports.
I did a 2-bucket water change tonight, it's a 4ft tank, anything else I can do?
I've also bumped the temp up to 31 degrees, is that alright for my tankmates?
got a pretty mixed bag in there - nemo, 3 damsels, bi color blenny, sand anemone, assorted star fish, black sunflower coflake, some hermit crabs, 2 green coflake gobies. No one else is showing ich symptoms and like I said, she's still eating the algae off the glass.

hey so im having a bit of a mystery on my hands here, my sweetheart's ich spots vanished this morning, not a single white spot in sight, but now it's back to 7pm and they're popping up again! what's going on with that? it's like they're hiding during the day and then suddenly appearing in the evening!
she's still chomping on food like there's no tomorrow and looks really healthy, but i'm getting a bit worried that each time the spots come back, they might be getting worse!

i'm still confused, she's munching away all day like nothing's wrong, no rubbing or scratching, just happy as can be.
the cleaner wrasse has taken a liking to her now, so i'm gonna sit back and see how things go for another day - just gotta catch her first, she's being a bit of a handful atm!
so what's behind this weird nighttime thing? all my water stats are perfect - ammo, nitrate, nitrite all 0, and salt is at 1.025, just like it's been since the cycle finished 2 months ago.

Mate, usually when ich hits, it's a lot faster than 10 days, or it takes a turn for the worse pretty quick. Are you positive it's ich and not just stress spots?
