convict blenny information
Hi, I'm really interested in the convict/engineering blenny, does anyone here keep one of these fish? I've got a 450 litre reef tank with mainly small fish, would it be a good fit for this species?

You can definitely keep a convict/engineering blenny in your 450-litre reef tank, but be aware of a few things. They're notorious burrowers, so you'll need a deep sand bed for them to dig in. Your rocks should be sitting directly on the bottom glass, rather than on the sand, or they'll just dig underneath and undermine your rockwork.
Also, keep in mind that they're generally docile when they're young, but they'll become pretty aggressive once they reach full adulthood in about 5 years. Until then, they'll be pretty well-behaved.

You can keep one, but be warned - they're notorious burrowers. To accommodate this, you'll need a deep sand bed, and make sure your rocks are sitting directly on the glass, not on the sand. If not, they'll dig under the rockwork.
Also, be aware that as they mature, around 5 years in, they can become quite aggressive. However, until then, they're generally well-behaved.
