How to prevent coral stress
My corals aren't looking too happy lately. Water params are good, 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, nitrate around 5 ppm. I've got a 75 gallon tank with a Radion XR15, running at 60% intensity for 8 hours. Any tips to chill them out?

I've had similar issues before. How often are you doing water changes? Sometimes they just need a fresh batch of saltwater to perk up. Also, what's your alk sitting at?

Yo, daxlio, I feel you. My Zoas were acting sketchy last month. Turned out my magnesium was way low. You might wanna check that, bro. Also, how's your flow? Too much can mess with them.

My tank's been stable since I switched to weekly 10% water changes. I use Red Sea Coral Pro salt and keep my alk around 8.5 dKH. Maybe try adjusting your lighting schedule too?

Magnesium is key, but don't forget about calcium. I keep mine at 420 ppm and my corals love it. What's your calcium level, daxlio?OceanBreeze wrote: ↑Thu Aug 14, 2025 9:02 pm Yo, daxlio, I feel you. I'd double-check your temperature stability. Even small swings can stress them out. I use a titanium heater with a controller to keep it at 78°F. Also, how old are your bulbs?

Dude, my Acros were bleaching until I dialed back the light. Maybe cut it to 50% and see if they bounce back. Also, what's your phosphate level? High phosphates can mess with them too.

I've found that feeding them a bit more often helps. I use Reef Roids twice a week and my corals are thriving. What's your feeding routine like?

Light intensity is huge. I run my Radion at 50% max and my corals are happy. Also, keep an eye on your nitrates. Too low can be just as bad as too high.

Sometimes it's just a weird vibe in the tank. I'd try a small water change and see if that helps. Also, how's your skimmer working? A dirty skimmer can throw things off.
