how to Grow amazon frogbit
I've been trying to grow Amazon Frogbit in my 20-gallon tank, but it keeps melting. Water params are good, 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, 10 nitrate. Lighting is moderate, 6 hours a day. Any tips?

Amazon Frogbit can be tricky if the lighting isn't just right. I've had success with 8 hours of light and a bit of liquid fertilizer. What's your substrate like? It might need more nutrients.

Try increasing the light to 8 hours and add a gentle water flow. Frogbit doesn't like strong currents, but a little movement helps.

I've found Frogbit does better in softer water. If your water's hard, it might struggle. Also, keep an eye on surface agitation, too much can mess with the roots.

Mine melted at first too, but it bounced back after I added some root tabs. Maybe give that a shot?

Yep, lighting's key. I run mine for 9 hours with a siesta period. Frogbit's chill once it settles in.

If you've got fish that nibble on plants, they might be stressing the Frogbit. My tetras used to go after it until I added more floating plants for cover.

Frogbit's roots can get long and tangled. Trim 'em if they start looking messy, it helps the plant focus on new growth.

I've had the best luck with Frogbit in tanks that have a lid. It likes the humidity. Maybe try covering your tank if it's open?
