Sick Betts, need help here. My buddy's Betts has this weird balloon thing on its side, like a tiny green pea. It's super lethargic and won't eat at all. Got any ideas what's going on?

To better understand what's going on with your friend's Betts, could you please post some pictures of the fish? If the images are too large, try reducing your camera's resolution to its lowest setting and retake the photos. This should help them fit on the site. Choose a couple of clear shots that show the issue and post them here. Don't forget to reset your camera's resolution after taking the pictures.
I've got a few questions to help narrow down the possible causes. How long has the tank been set up, and what are the current water parameters - ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and pH? How often are water changes done, and what percentage of water is changed each time? Is the new water dechlorinated before adding it to the tank? What type of filter is being used, and how often is it cleaned? Also, how long has your friend had the fish, and when did the symptoms start? Has anything been added to the tank in the past two weeks?
