Kribensis pairing advice
I've had my Kribensis for a bit now and they're awesome. One thing I'm curious about is the female - she's super active, always swimming around, but then she'll just chill by my heater for a bit. When the male shows up, she does this shimmy thing. Is she trying to get his attention or something? Also, is it normal for her to just hang out in a corner for a bit, or is that weird?

Re: Kribensis pairing advice
Still waiting to hear from some Krib experts out there - my female seems to be spending a fair bit of time by herself in corners, but her color looks great and I'm not seeing any signs of illness. Any thoughts on what might be going on?

She's probably claimed that spot as her own territory - if no one's bothering her, it's just her little corner of the tank.

I've come across mention of increasing the heat slightly to promote breeding, could that be relevant here. The area near the heater does seem to be warmer, possibly that's a factor.

She's not being chased and the male is allowed to come near her, so I'm inclined to agree that it's probably just her designated spot.oakleyride wrote: ↑Fri Sep 05, 2025 4:05 pm She's probably claimed that spot as her own territory - if no one's bothering her, it's just her little corner of the tank.
