keeping a humu picasso triggerfish with mombasa lionfish and blue spotted puffer

Post by amero »

Hi Guys,

I've just set up my 450L marine aquarium and I'm in the process of stocking it. The tank is currently bare - no sand, no corals, no reef, no live-rock, no inverts, no fish. I've been thinking about the ideal fish for my tank and I've narrowed it down to three. I'd love to get a Mombasa Lionfish, a Blue Spotted Puffer, and a Humu Picclyasso Triggerfish. I've used compatibility sites, but they don't give me a clear answer.

I did find a post on another forum where someone said, "I think you are going to have mixed answers this one. I have had a dogface puffer, Picclyasso trigger and a Mombasa and radiata lionfish together with no problem." I was wondering if any of you have experience with these fish or any insights into their compatibility.

Thanks in advance for your replies.

Best Wishes,
Cameron

P.S. I'm also curious about how to feed and clean the tank safely with a venomous lionfish like the Mombasa.

P.P.S. I know cardinals and clownfish aren't compatible, but are there any other small fish that could work well with these three?
