Re: Help with cabomba turning yellow
I'd like to expand on my previous response to help you troubleshoot the issue with your cabomba. As I mentioned earlier, some plant nutrients are mobile, meaning the plant can redistribute them as needed. When these nutrients are in short supply, the plant may remove them from older leaves to ...

Re: Help with cabomba turning yellow
Still looking for some insight here. The discoloration seems to be progressing, albeit slowly.

Help with cabomba turning yellow
Planted cabomba about a week ago, and it's been doing great - bright green and has grown about 2" taller. I also dosed with Florish when I planted it, but today I noticed the lower leaves have started to turn yellow. Is this just part of the adjustment process or is there something I should be ...

Re: Floating plants: care and maintenance questions
I'd still recommend tropical Frogbit, even with the duckweed. It's a fantastic surface plant and controlling the duckweed isn't as difficult as it seems. I've removed it from my tanks before by simply netting out the few plants that appear during my weekly water change.
Water Sprite is probably ...

Re: Floating plants: care and maintenance questions
I had no idea many of the plants I see rooted could also do well floating, really appreciate the suggestions, opens up a lot more possibilities for me.

Floating plants: care and maintenance questions
I'm looking to add some floating plants to my planted aquarium, but I'm not sure where to start. I'd love to hear some recommendations from you all. I've checked out my local fish store, and they have some frog bit, but it's sold with duckweed - which I'm really not interested in. Are there any good ...

Re: creating a floating plant corral
@Finleyx9 I can send some pics if you're still having trouble visualizing it. I know what you mean, I thought there'd be a product for this too, but I guess DIY is the way to go. Just gotta find some clear or black straws that'll blend in.

creating a floating plant corral
I'm having some trouble with my floating red root, it keeps getting tossed around by my HOB filter. I've come across something that might help - a floating plant holder that keeps them in place. Has anyone used something like this? What did you guys use to keep your plants secure?

keeping a brichardi
I've been eyeing those Brichardi at my LFS since they got them in last month - I must've spent 20 minutes just watching them each time I visit. I'm really tempted to set up a tank specifically for them, but my water parameters are a bit off, running at 6.8-7pH, whereas they seem to prefer 8-9. Does ...
