Planning a fish relocation

I'm moving next month and need to relocate my 55-gallon community tank. It's got a mix of Tetras, Corydoras, and a pair of Angelfish. Any tips on minimizing stress during the move? I've got a battery-powered air pump and insulated bags, but I'm worried about temperature swings.

If it's sand, you might wanna stir it up a day before to release any trapped gas. Had a buddy lose half his stock from that during a move. Sketchy stuff.

Two hours isn't too bad. I'd recommend using a Styrofoam box for the bags—it's cheap and insulates well. Also, keep the tank lights off for a day after the move to let everyone chill. How many fish total?

Absolutely. Even though they're in their own water, temp shock's still a risk. Take your time with it.

Pro tip: label the bags with a Sharpie so you don't mix up the Tetras and Corys. Sounds dumb, but trust me, it's happened. Also, maybe throw in a joke to lighten the mood—moving's stressful for you too!

One more thing—don't feed them right after the move. Wait a day or two till they're settled. And check your water params at the new place before adding the fish. Tap water can vary a lot.
