Compatibility of african cichlids in the same tank

I'm loving the way he's showing off, that shivering thing is so cool, and his coloring is really coming out now. I'll definitely have to look into setting up a species-only tank for him later on, but for now I just want to get this tank right, no more ick and all my fish happy and healthy. What's your take on stocking a 125, how many full-grown Africans do you think I could keep without stressing them out?

I'm thinking around 15-20, but that's just a rough estimate. I've got a friend with a 125 and he's got around that many, seems to be doing okay.

I'm thinking of adding a few more, but I'm not sure yet. I'll probably get some more of the same kinds I already have, but you never know who's gonna make it to full grown, right? I've heard that juvies are kinda hit or miss. For a 125-150, I'm thinking I can fit around 25-30, depending on the size of the fish, since I've got a few that are gonna get pretty large.

I've decided not to add any more fish to my tank, mainly because I have some spawning going on. I've got a couple of yellow labs holding, a blue zebra holding, and I've already managed to raise a surviving baby that's about an inch long now, which is pretty exciting.

I was just about to ask that. So, how do you sex them? Is there something I can look for without having to take them out and examine them? I got rid of the aratus and the demasoni, took them to the LFS, and I ended up getting two more yellows and two more OB's.
